EagleHacks is DFW's first mix match hackathon & startup competition for high school students. We invite students to Dallas for one weekend for an experience that mashes together building, making, hacking and bootstrapping a company. Over 24 hours, 300 participants will build and design products, create business models or pitch, and ultimately compete in front of a panel of developers, designers, and investors for prizes and opportunities. Participants must follow the MLH Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct can also be found on the MLH home page.
Do you have a project you've wanted to code, but haven't had enough time? Now you have the chance to dedicate 24 hours on this project. You can only be judged on what you wrote within these 24 hours
You have the opportunity to meet fellow programmers from all over the world, exchange your knowledge and possibly find your future business partner, with whom you could found your first start-up.
Thanks to our sponsors, you will have the chance to win a variety of awesome prizes. Even if you don't win, we can promise that you won't leave empty handed!
Learn about personal job experiences through some of the engineers and recruiters of our sponsors. Who knows, maybe you could set up an interview!
EagleHacks takes place at the Performing Arts Center in Allen, Texas; home of the Allen Eagle Football Team!

A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which computer programmers and entrepreneurs collaborate to develope and design software projects.
Anything that you are passionate about. Don't worry about coming with idea or team in advance. You will meet great people at the event, and then you can come up with an idea together!
It's just a bunch of people getting together and creating awesome programs. Nothing like the Defcon convention which is specifically for the purpose of hacking into computers.
We will have a bunch of workshops aimed to help inexperienced people learn a few lines of code. Plus, you can talk to the awesome people attending to learn more.
